Dinosaur, dinosaur, dinosaur, roar!
Stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp, roar!
Tiptoe, tiptoe, tiptoe, roar!
The Dinosaurs class played the drums as dinosaurs, stomping, tiptoeing, and roaring. We chanted the words above and played them to a rhythm. Our hands were heavy and loud as we stomped on the drum. Our fingertips played lightly and quietly as we tiptoed on the drum. And we gave a loud drum hit and yelled “roar!”
The Dinosaurs enjoyed playing the drums and loved yelling roar while playing. They listened to the rhythm of the words and played them on their drum. In addition, students listened to the dynamics and produced the loud and soft differences in the stomp and tiptoe. Great auditory skills, attention skills, and executive functioning skills at work!
