Thank You Songs for Teacher

Thank you, Adrien! For the end of the year, I helped some of the classes write and record a video for teachers who are not returning next year.  The students had some of the sweetest and thoughtful things to say to their teachers: “Thank you for teaching me math and helping me with my work.”
“Thank you for helping me be a better person.”
“You are my friend.”

I wrote a general outline for a song and had the students fill in the blanks or create their own idea:

(Teacher’s name, teacher’s name)
You’re our teacher.
Thank you for ____________
Thank you for ____________
Thank you for ____________
Thank you for ____________

(Teacher’s name, teacher’s name)
You’re our teacher.
You are _____________
You are _____________
You are _____________
You are _____________

(Teacher’s name, teacher’s name)
You’re our teacher.
Thank you, (teacher’s name)

The students loved watching the video with their teachers and were so excited to share it with other teachers.  It was extra special for the students who commenced today.  Teachers and students alike are closing their Parish School chapter and venturing off to a start of a new adventure.  It has been a year of ups and downs and we are stronger because of them. Best wishes to everyone!
