Reflection on 2012

Happy New Year!

This week in music, we are celebrating the new year by remembering and looking back at last year.  Students share their memories of 2012: painting, singing, going to the beach, phones, playing on the playground, being with friends, and dancing.  They spoke of their favorite part of 2012 with a smile and were so excited to be in 2013.

Some students were more specific in their favorite part of 2012: dancing Thriller (click here for video post), singing at City Hall (click here for video post), singing at the Luncheon (click here for video post), making pies, Halloween, Christmas, and going to The Parish School.

Memory recall is a challenge for many students as their worked hard to retrieve their stored memories.  For some students, I gave options of things that we did together in the past year.  They chose one event and that memory connected to another memory.  Some of them started listing many of the events we did last year!
