First Choir Performance: Book Fair!

The Parish School Choir had its first performance at the All-Star Book Fair: Every Reader Is A Star.  Dressed as a storybook character, students sang “Catch A Falling Star” and “Gather Around and I’ll Tell You A Story.”  Some costumes were Batman, mermaid, knight, Little Red Riding Hood, Peter Pan, Harry Potter, Alice, and Mario. The ICAT team dressed as characters in “Little Red Riding Hood”; I was the grandmother.  To end, we did a book fair cheer and announced the winner of the Book Bucks, the Labs!

As a group, the choir sounded strong, together, and engaged.  They listened, watched, and kept their bodies to themselves.  Those in the skit acted with strength and said their lines loudly.  I am so proud of them!  Each of them are working on their own achievements of being part of the group, singing, and being on stage.  Tonight, they worked together to put on a fantastic show, even though some were scared, wanted to ad lib, or were concentrating on the words.

Congratulations!  It was awesome!
