“Where the Wild Things Are” Show!

Today was the premiere of our first ICAT production, “Where the Wild Things Are!”  With our teamwork of putting together the special effects of the vines, sailboat, stage hand, and dance choreography, the students put on an amazing show!   The Explorers and Mustangs delivered their lines, acted in their roles, and danced together respectively in their own show.  They had fun on stage and the audience had a good time as well.  They were so proud of themselves and all the teachers are proud of them too!

This was my first show choreographing a dance and I learned to work with the students’ strength in improvisation, movements, and comfort zone while stretching them to listen to the lyrics and to use a variety of locomotive movements.  Their timing of movements improved through rehearsals and their movements became more dramatic and wild, which was perfect for our show!

Congratulations!
