First Choir Performance!

“We can all dance, when we find music we love.”

An important lesson from the book, Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae.  Today the Explorers and Mustangs represented The Parish School Choir and sang at the Annual Luncheon named after the book.  The entire luncheon was dedicated to celebrating students’ individuality, what makes them special, and being oneself.  The choir was invited to sing to add a special touch of The Parish School student as well as musical entertainment.

Singing “What I Am” by Will.I.Am, students were very excited and nervous to perform for such a large audience in a new venue.  They were brave, singing from their hearts and sharing a piece of them on stage.  With signs in hands, students were true to their character and raise the words when it was sung, and some before or after it was sung.  Most importantly, we had fun while our hearts were pounding, looking out at so many faces!

Congratulations to a strong first performance of the year!  I am so proud!
