“Hi Mom!!” (Waves) Preschool Performance Day 2

Preschool Program: Peace Around the World!
I am so proud of the All-Stars, Dragonflies, and Kangaroos on their first performance!  My first preschool performance too!  There were star performers who followed directions, stood on the black line, wore a costume, or walked on stage.  There were star performers who sang their hearts out or did the hand signs.  Some students did the classic, “Hi Mom!!” and waved to their parents before they performed.  They were overjoyed to see their parents and sang loudly to heard.  I made a sign using Boardmarker that said, “sing loud.”  In our pep talk, the students the students sang louder when they saw it.  During the performance, it helped some students sing out more.  It inspired a couple of star performers to break out on stage who did not usually sing.  All the students performed with a calmness and appeared happy to be on stage.  Their stage presence definitely got the message across about having peace on earth!

The Labs and Fireflies discovered today that castanets or “snappers” as one student called it, sounds like reindeers’ hooves.  We sang “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and clicked every time we heard a reindeer’s name.  I think I will write a song and create a reindeer game for next week to celebrate the holidays!
